Frequently Asked Questions

  • At Sensate, I am dedicated to providing ample time in a comfortable environment to compassionately and effectively address your sexual health concerns. I am passionate about helping you express yourself in the most authentic way, to create sexual connections that enrich your life and bring immense fulfillment. This is an affirming and inclusive coaching practice, and I take pride in my comprehensive approach to sexual health and wellness.

  • If you prefer a holistic approach when it comes to your sexual health, coaching is a great option. My style of coaching blends my work of sharing knowledge about sexual function as a sex educator with my focus on positive psychology as a certified coach. Compared with other Western healthcare practices, coaching takes a very person-centered approach. This means the agenda and goals are centered around what you want, and I serve as a facilitator to help you get there.

  • Due to the constraints of insurance-based care models that may lead to shorter visits and reduced quality of care, I do not accept insurance. This has the additional benefit of increased privacy, since I don’t have to submit a diagnosis to a third party for reimbursement.

My coaching sessions are one hour with a cost of $135 for a phone call and $165 for a video session.

  • Sexuality is an incredibly broad topic, and most people have at least one aspect of their sex life where coaching could help you get unstuck and jumpstart your pursuit of more fulfilling connections. You can find more information about coaching for specific concerns on the following pages:

Whether it’s one of the concerns above or any other sexual issue where you could benefit from increased clarity, confidence, and motivation - coaching has a strategy for that.

  • Coaching sessions aren’t medical consultations, and I’m unable to provide diagnoses or treatment during coaching sessions. Please discuss any medical concerns with your healthcare provider. While I can help provide information to facilitate conversations with your PCP, any laboratory testing or prescription medication changes will need to be provided by their office.

Coaching sessions also aren’t a substitute for therapy. If you have severe anxiety, depression, or other mental health concerns that impact your daily living, please seek the help of a licensed mental health professional.
